The Nanny Network Inc. was founded as a boutique nanny placement agency in 1985 by Roni Fertig, MSW, who saw not only a pressing need for childcare, but an even greater need to locate qualified people.
Since then, The Nanny Network has developed a national recruiting network and strategic partnerships with many other agencies and training schools. We have grown to be the premier source for in-home recruiting and consulting across the country.
In the Fall of 2022, the company announced it was rebranding and expanding! The Nanny Network Inc. became The Family Rolodex, An Extension Of The Nanny Network, with Heather Fertig, LCSW, as owner and president.
The new company name — The Family Rolodex — reflects the larger scale and scope of the household and executive staffing network we’ve developed over the years, and will continue to develop in the future.
Furthermore, the new name reflects our commitment to finding our clients and candidates the most qualified staff and the most rewarding and fulfilling positions in the homes of generous and appreciative people — from our family to yours.
The Nanny Network is a founding member of the International Nanny Association (INA), a nonprofit association dedicated to advancing the nanny profession.
We are also active in the National Association of Young Children (NAEYC) and participate in several conferences on child and senior care each year.

Heather Marolda Fertig, LCSW Owner & President
Heather Marolda Fertig, LCSW, originally from the NY/NJ area, holds a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Miami and a master's degree in social work (MSW) from Florida International University. In the summer of 2021, Heather was awarded her license of clinical social work (LCSW) and has a private psychotherapy practice on the side.
At the end of 2021, Heather joined The Nanny Network Management Team as the director alongside her mother-in-law and president, Roni Fertig. Heather has a clinical background as a psychotherapist with extensive experience in career and child development, as well as problem-solving and mediation techniques. She has a solution-oriented approach to working with both candidates and families alike.
In 2022, Heather founded The Family Rolodex, LLC to account for the curated household staffing network that has been developed over the years by Roni Fertig and The Nanny Network Inc. Heather’s background in public relations and marketing has aided in the re-branding and technical transformation of the company as it continues to grow and expand at her lead.
Roni K. Fertig founded The Nanny Network Inc. in 1985 when she saw not only a pressing need for childcare, but an even greater need to locate qualified people. With a master’s degree in social work (MSW) from Columbia University and a true passion for childcare, Roni applied her keen business sense, innate people skills, and educational background to develop a successful career she could enjoy and grow, while having a family of her own. Roni and her husband, Mike, moved to South Florida in the 80s from Long Island, NY, because they knew they wanted to raise their future children down south.
Over the years, Roni has grown The Nanny Network Inc. into a national full-service household recruitment and consultancy agency by cultivating relationships, contacts, and connections across the industry.
With almost 40 years of experience, Roni is an expert in childcare and household staffing solutions and provides guidance and consultancy services, as part of The Nanny Network leadership team.
